Who We Are
We are a grassroots movement of Essex residents demanding that our public bodies and representatives immediately divest all public funds from companies complicit in human rights abuses, environmental destruction, and genocide. Our county's money belongs to us – it should not be used to fuel oppression.
Our demands are clear:
Full Divestment
End all investments in fossil fuels and arms companies.
Transparency
Public disclosure of all council investments.
Community Reinvestment
Redirect funds to local climate justice and social projects.
Get Involved
Our campaign is heavy on needing signatures. But there is so much work to do.
We are building this campaign to WIN. For too long this county's activism levels have been way below par. It's time to rise up for where you live.
